Float in the Arctic Ocean
Float in the Arctic Ocean
Experience the Arctic from a completely different perspective, floating in the calm waters of Narvik surrounded by fjords and mountains.
Wearing a specially designed survival suit, you step into the Arctic water, lean back and let the suit keep you safely afloat. The suit keeps you dry while you experience the unusual feeling of floating in the cold northern sea.
From water level, the landscape feels different. Mountains rise around the fjord, the city sits behind you and for a while there is nothing to do but float and enjoy the surroundings. The experience changes throughout the year. Float beneath snow-covered mountains during winter, experience the changing Arctic light in spring and autumn, or enjoy the long, bright evenings of the northern summer.
Afterwards, warm up with a hot coffee or toddy and share the experience back on land.
No swimming experience is required.

Do I need to know how to swim?
No. Swimming skills are not required. The survival suit provides buoyancy and allows you to float safely in the water.
Your guide will explain how the equipment works and help you before entering the water.
What should I wear?
