Discover one of the most spectacular fjord landscapes in the Narvik region on a guided RIB safari into Skjomenfjord. Departing from Narvik, the journey takes you deep into Skjomenfjord, a spectacular fjord surrounded by mountains rising up to 1,700 metres above the sea. Steep mountainsides plunge towards the water, with views towards the impressive Frostisen glacier.
Along the way, there are good opportunities to experience local wildlife. Porpoises are frequently seen in these waters, while sea eagles and other Arctic wildlife may also appear. At the heart of the fjord, we slow down and take time to enjoy the surroundings, capture photos and experience the silence before returning to Narvik.
The experience changes with the seasons. In winter, snow-covered mountains, frozen waterfalls and the low Arctic light transform the fjord into a completely different landscape, making the RIB Safari a spectacular experience throughout the year.

Is the RIB Safari very fast?
The experience combines sections of faster RIB cruising with slower sightseeing and stops along the way. The guide adapts the journey to the group and current sea conditions.
What equipment is included?
Warm flotation suits and life vests are provided. Goggles and gloves are also available to borrow.
We recommend wearing warm clothing underneath the flotation suit, together with a warm hat and suitable footwear.
Will there be opportunities to take photos?
Yes. The guide will slow down and stop at selected locations where conditions allow, giving you time to photograph the fjord, mountains, glacier and wildlife.
Is wildlife guaranteed?
No. Porpoises, sea eagles and other wildlife live freely in the area, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Can the RIB Safari be booked privately?
